Fine foods under the arches
Our Butterhandlung Holstein (eng.: Butter merchant from Holstein) has been at home in the heart of Muenster since the 1920's. It all begann as a buisiness trading with dairy products from the north, hence the name. Today our business has won multipule awards as a fine food establishment.
After the total refurbishment of our gabeled house in the Kiepenkerl- quarter, the shop is characterised by its oak shelving and stone floors. The heart of the shop is the 18 meter long fine food counter, where you can find our large selection of raw cheeses and our handmade delicacies. Also important is that our meat products come from animals bred and raised in a natural enviroment. When possible we travel to surch for the finest foods and we also directly import from abroad. You will find products with our special reconmendation, under our own label Holstein.
A word about our wines. We by our own wines. In our ceiling high oak shelving, we store our imports from Germany, Italy, France and rarities from international auctions. We regulary successfuly bid at the spring and autmn auctions at Christies
for this reason we can offer Bordeaux- Grand- Cru wines at favorable prices.
